Funny Stuff

Yes,
I WAS having meltdown when I wrote my last blog. Things are definitely cool now. As my husband reminded me, I ALWAYS do this when planning for something, trips, parties, etc. I think I procrastinate, then freak out, then get it together somehow.

So, last night, when we got back from Beth's farm, I was sitting at the computer checking my e-mail, when a great big toad jumped on my foot! Somehow, Laila sneaked it in the car and in the house. I don't know how she did it either. I must have been tired when I buckled and un-buckled her seatbelt, and helped her in her pajamas. I went and put him in my garden.
Then she wakes up this morning looking around the living room. Doug says to her, "Watch'ya doin' Laila?" She says, "Nothing." He says, "Are you looking for something?" "Yeah." Doug, "Would it be a toad?" "Yeah, Where is he?" "Mommy put him in the garden."
So, she goes outside, looks and comes in holding something, but with a disappointed expression. Us, "Did you find the toad?" "No" she says. "Then what is in your hand?" "A roly-poly bug I will feed to the toad when I find him." I couldn't help but giggle. It was too cute. I guess the bird just is not big enough to fulfill the pet longing.

Then there is Rogan.
I was outside today taking out the recycling. Turned around, and there is Rogan with his pants around his ankles peeing off the back patio.
The other day, he was MIA and I asked Laila where he was. She said, "going pee." I said, "But he isn't in the bathroom." She said, "No, Mommy he is behind the shed." Sure enough, there he was coming out from behind the shed with his pants around his ankles. So, now he doesn't even use the bathroom when we are inside. I swear this is the reason that the neighbors' outdoor cats are all missing. They must have gotten tired of trying to mark their territory over Rogan's!

Then there is Grant.
Always yanking his favorite handle out of his diaper and walking around with it sticking out the top, peeing on the floor.
Pretending he is a monkey by climbing on things, and saying in his cute baby way, "No." His new favorite word. I know in a year it won't be so cute, but for now, it is adorable.

I can laugh about this all now as they are sleeping. Boy do I love those little cuties! They sure make me laugh!
