Here I am using our free high speed connection in our "3 Star" hotel. Though it is not that nice. I have been in better 2 star hotels, but hey this IS Kentucky!
Luckily for me the kids are finally calmed down from their wild animal imitations (mostly ferocious tigers), and watching Shrek on the tube.
When I called Doug's parents to tell them we were here, we got that "You are JUST getting there?" answer on the other line (it is 10 and we left home at 1:30.) They forget, even though they left hours after us, and went 2 hours short of here, we have 3 kids!!!!!! Wait until they have at least one in their grasp tomorrow, and see how "fast" they can get home. I will be chuckling to myself when they are driving "8 hours" to Wisconsin next weekend, knowing full well it will take them 11 at least. Ha!
We had a wonderful day getting lost though. Well, we just got detoured. Which turned out to be very lucky as the guy giving us our new directions told us we avoided a whole bunch of construction and probably an hour extra time. We got to drive through beautiful mountain passes and cute little country towns. Through Cumberland Gap. Nice sunsets, gorgeous horse farms, and a full rainbow over the mountains after the rain. It was a very beautiful day.
Now Doug is changing the 5th poopy diaper! Grant picked a fine day to "let loose." I am almost out of diapers. We have to go hunt down a store that carries Seventh Generation dipes tomorrow. Great, just the way I want to spend the morning. I am thanking myself for having the sense to make all the food we need right now!
Well, I have to help stop the kids from jumping on the furniture and re-enacting their ferocious animals as they are not accustomed to commercials...
