What to write?

I had a better day today.
It was pretty uneventful, but sometimes that is good.
I am searching for words here, but wanted to write something.
Mom left today, and it is always great when she visits. We love Dad, but it is nice to have the freedom of just Mom. We have much more fun usually because she is a "go with the flow" kind of person, and Dad just isn't. We still enjoy his company, it is just harder.
The bounty she brought us from her garden is just incredible! I wish my tomatoes would get that big and abundant! I made pesto today from the 2 lbs. of basil she brought me, yum! I need to make something now with all the tomatoes.
I am so glad that we live in South Carolina. Tonight we ran into some friends at the park. We were talking about all the cool places we could go. It is like a sin to not have gone to the ocean in a year apparently. I think we will go next month if we can swing it. It is definitely calling our names! They were going camping up in the Pisgah National forest tomorrow in the mountains. Mountains and Ocean, who could want more?! I love it here, crazy people or not!

When I lived in Atlanta, I was so happy to be away from South Carolina. 21 and ready for city livin'. I suddenly ran with a crowd of folks from South Carolina that LOVED thier home state. In all the good ways. The fact that we have three distinct regions and different accents for each one of them, that people are so nice even in bad times, that you can still leave your car unlocked in the driveway. They really made me see the good in being born here. So here we are, back in the hometown from where I left saying angrily, "I'll NEVER be back!" I'm glad you love it too!
