The "laundry chair"

I know most of you Moms out there have a spot you like to pile up your clean laundry.
For me, it is the "laundry chair," my big over-sized comfy chair, which I have probably sat in no less than a dozen times. One of those times being when I labored in it with Grant, that was actually the longest I was probably ever using it as a chair.
The chair sits behind me as I write, and I am reminded of the talking trash pile lady on the old Fraggle Rock episodes. I swear it is going to start yelling or singing to me if I don't relieve it of some laundry soon. It is such a pain to put the clean clothes away, yet I don't even know why that is. I mean we have dressers, lots of closets, and for Grant, a whole crib devoted just to his clothes. Maybe it is just the fact that all the clothes have to go to so many different places that annoy me and take me all day to put away. Or maybe it is the fact that I can never catch up on the laundry no matter how hard I try or who is coming to visit. There is always one more load to do. There is never any satisfaction in a job well done. It is just a job, un-done, and ready to be less done the next day. I would love to join a nudist colony for the summer months at least. My kids are already active members of their own self-made colony. Although that serves a whole new problem, floor-cleaning. I could just go around covering up the floor with newspapers like in "Big Daddy."
That is it, I think we will all go nude and throw down newspapers on the floor. Just call before you come visit so we can dress!

You such a talented writer; I can hear this chair yelling at you as I read! My kids are in your kids' nudist colony!
